Hooligans Kit - Maxed Out!!

I've been using our fabulous workhop on the go kits for my clubs for almost a year now. I LOVE them for many reasons - first of all, the kit is discounted at only $29.95 every month, and also it appeals to scrapbookers, cardmakers, even general papercrafters alike!

This time around, I'm out to maximize each kit - create the featured projects, but then use all the rest of my left overs to create different projects. Here is what I have come up with for the Hooligans kit.

You can see the featured projects that I made here.
Then with my leftovers, I created a little treat box for each of my club members! This would be great for school buddys or neighborhood kids! (I got this adorable idea from Vicki Wizniuk.) I put a little Whitman's Marshmallow candy that looks like a giant candy corn. You can put whatever treat you want in your box!

I used the pac-man looking pear colored paper for the box and the gypsy colored polka-dot paper for the front top. I had to add extra black cardstock and black ribbon from the black ribbon rounds collection. Then I used the paper that has boxes all over it with montster faces, eyes, and sayings. I cut out individual monster boxes, matted them, then attached them with 3-D foam tape to the front. Then I cut out the different sayings, matted them and made tags for each bag.

The purple piece on the front of the box is just a scalloped circle cut in half then scored at 1/2" from the center and folded over the top of the box. The goodie boxes themselves are simply black cardstock 5 1/4" x 6". Score at 1" on both sides of the long sides, then score at 2 1/4" on both sides of the shorter sides. So you end up with a box that is 3 1/4" wide, 2 1/4" tall and 1 1/2" deep. Fold in on all the scored lines, snip the 1" x 1 1/2" squares so they fold up inside allowing the box sides to overlap and close. Then cover with your pattern paper and embellish as desired! You really could have a lot of fun adding googly eyes, our new Liquorice Opaques, Liquid Glass, Prisma Glitter, our new Blue & Green Sparkles, etc.

Now I'm off to make some birthday cards with my remaining leftovers -- I'll post those soon!

Hooligans Halloween cards

Photobucket
This is the card we are making at Debbie's Open House this Saturday in Van, WV. Her friends wanted to do a halloween card, so I chose the Hooligans paper, along with the Hooligans WOTG stamp set - Troublemaker, and our stamp of the month - Thriller. Using an Originals card pattern called Overview, we can make very different options of the same card using the same materials!

Photobucket
On the first card I used the back of the stripe B&T paper which is a lighter version of our new Gypsy color. I also used fun little monsters for younger kids - or I will even show how easily we can change this into a "Celebrate" or "Happy Birthday" card. Using our bonding memories glue, we can add glitter to the monsters, stars and mat if desired. I also added a little liquid glass to the feet and horns and eyes for shine and dimension. (I was trying to keep it simple, but I think I'll add some inking around the edges of the paper for more dimension.)

This card uses the backside of the pac-man looking paper to reveal a lighter shade of our new Sunset color. This would be for an older child. I also edge distressed the white cardstock to rough it up a little.

There you have it - two very simple cards, using the same papers and the same pattern with very different results!

Olivia Card and Goodie Bags

At our All Day FREE crop and Open House last week, we presented each attendee with a goodie bag containing a card using our new Olivia papers and the new stamp set called The Present. This card is another Originals Pattern. (If you don't have this book - you NEED it!) I really LOVE this stamp set! So easy to create beautiful artwork! And I LOVE our new Olivia papers, featuring some of our new colors - Sunset, Smoothie, and Pear. Also included in the bag was one of our new embellishements - either one of the new Opaques or one of the new colored sparkles! And of couse there was a little all important chocolate and a coupon to use that day!

Veranda Wedding Cards

My brother asked me to make him a couple of cards - a money card for the bride and a wedding card for the couple. I decided to use our Originals Card Book and our Spring Veranda papers and our new Opaques Pearl adhesive gems. I also added one of our Filigree Charms sponged with Brown Staz On ink to one of our paper flowers.

Since this was a last minute project, I really appreciated having our Originals Card Pattern book with a money card pattern just waiting for me. And our Idea Book which inspired me to use another Originals pattern for the wedding card. And best of all - I LOVE having products that so easily coordinate making creating anything faster, simpler, easier!

Hooligans Workshop on the Go Clubs & Kits

In this month's club, we will be working on our Passages kits, but ordering for next month's kit which is our NEW Hooligans kit! This paper is so bright and fun I just had to share it with you! It features 3 of our new colors: Sunset, Gypsy, and Pear. And I LOVE the technique - covering accent paper with prisma glitter! I've put mine together already with a few optional add on's.

Here is my layout. I'm going to take some pictures of my Maltese in costume this year for this layout! I'm sure she will LOVE that! Instead of stamping my monsters, I used our new felt, peel & stick monsters with googly eyes. SO easy! SO cute! And instead of stamping my title, I used our Dimensional Elements Monograms. I simply inked them with a coordinating color, covered with bonding memories glue, then covered with prisma glitter!

For the cards, I did one exactly as shown in the kit and then another with some optional add ons.
