Every year the women of our church have a Christmas party and gift exchange. Angie Benson hosted once again in her beautiful home! Her home was beautifully decorated for Christmas inside and out!
In the past we have done ornaments and jewelry - this year it was a scarf exchange! And it was one of those where you could take a new gift or steal one already opened! I LOVE THAT! Just makes it all the more exciting!
This was my gift - forgot to photograph the scarf ahead of time.
And this is the scarf I ended up with! With gloves as a bonus! So soft, cozy and warm! (Thank you Tina!)
Everyone brought either an appetizer or dessert to share! I brought Feta Cheese Truffles. I can't remember if I've shared this recipe before, but it's super simple and reminds me of Christmas with the red, white and green!
Feta Cheese Truffles
Makes 6 appetizer servings
Prep: 20 min. Chill: 1 hour
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 (4 oz.) container crumbled feta cheese
½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. finely chopped onion
¼ tsp. black pepper
½ cup chopped fresh parsley
1. Beat first 5 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until well combined. Cover mixture tightly, and chill at least 1 hour or until firm (can chill up to 3 days).
2. Roll cheese mixture into ¾ inch round balls. Roll each ball in parsley. Serve immediately, or cover and chill until ready to serve. If chilled, let stand 30 minutes before serving. Serve with cucumber slices, grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, and whole almonds.
