Here is another Artiste card found on pg. 32 of the handbook using Slate cardstock. I accented the front with a pretty shape found on pg. 44 using the Avonlea Off-White cardstock accented with some of our adhesive backed pearls. I included the coordinating envelope accented with some Avonlea Green and Slate cardstock and a "Congrats" sentiment found on one of the stamp sets included in the Artiste Cricut Collection!
The inside of the card includes the "Congrats" sentiment also - embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. The sentiment shape is found on pg. 65 of the Artiste handbook (shift).
In the center of the shape I added a faux hydrangea flower that I made using the Asterisk shape( 8) on the Artiste cartridge! Here is how I made it:
I cut out circles in incremental sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", etc. and stacked them with 3D Foam tape between each layer.
Then I set the asterisks on my piercing tool push pad and pressed down in the center of each asterisk with my embossing stylus to help it curl up. Then I layered the curled flower/asterisks in the center of the top circle with a layer of Liquid Glass underneath. Give it a few minutes to dry then add a layer of Liquid glass on the outside edges of the next circle and add your flowers - and so on until the circles are covered!
I love how easy it is to create "outside of the box" with Close To My Heart products. Don't you? Back tomorrow with more artwork!
Just found your blog and LOVE your creativity with CTMH! Thanks for inspiring and I am now subscribed so I won't miss another post :) Kathi
