This week is the first meeting of my new Cross Lanes Club! We are going to have so much fun together!!! I have both scrappers and card makers in this club. I posted the layouts a while back. I've finally completed the cards.
(Note: my photoshop and computer are acting up, so these have not been edited like I normally do.)
The basic kit includes a Chantilly L2 paper pack, Small Sparkle Flourishes, and Clear Sparkles. (I included a couple of extra pieces for our first time too.)

This month's stamp of the month is a base and shade set - meaning you take the solid rose image (bottom right) and stamp in a lighter ink, then take the contour image (bottom left) and stamp over top in a darker ink. Or you can use a second generation ink for the solid image and a first generation ink for the top contour.
For my card above I used hollyhock ink for the solid part and ruby ink for the contour on the rose and I used second generation slate for the solid leaf (rolled in first generation slate ink) and first generation slate ink for the leaf veins. For the card base, I used some sky cardstock with a piece of the Chantilly papers then accented with a little shimmer trim in silver.

I fell in love with Lisa Stenz's creative club project and had to make some of these cards for my own club members! So this month, all of my club members will receive one of these beauties filled with yummy m&m's!
What's so cool about this card (made from pg. 69 of the Artiste cartridge) is the treat cup sticks out of the front, but when you pull out the tag, the candy comes out of the back hole so you can get to the candy without destroying your card!
In fact, once you are done, you can insert the tag again to display the card and read the sentiment through the treat cup!

This past Saturday, I was in Huntington for a Spring Bling event that hosted about 40 vendors - home based businesses and crafters. My dear friend and master cardmaker - Cari Chafin - was my helper! She was amazing! (Thank you Cari!)
