The Best Day Ever!

I had a team meeting at my house today! I LOVE these days because I LOVE these girls! So many come from far away to learn, to encourage one another, to laugh, to eat, to create! And I'm always so grateful for their time and their presence. BUT today I have to say that I'm also grateful for their "presents"!!

The gang surprised me with a bouquet of rainbow roses, a beautiful card, a gorgeous necklace, and a homemade cake by the fabulous Tina Suchy for my birthday!

The roses are so cool! I was told they split the ends and soak them in dyed water!

I don't know if you can see me holding the cake above, but I forgot to get a close up picture before we dug into it! It was SO moist and smooth! Mmmmmm! Tina, you done good!

What you can't see is the gorgeous card that Leslie made! I LOVE the Dotty For You Papers! They just make me happy!!

And finally, here is the stunning necklace they gave me! I LOVE it!

Creatively Cricut!

We have two of THE BEST Cricut Cartridges on the market. Both have 700 images each! And each cartridge has a variety of shapes, from basic shapes to 3-D projects and fonts! Art Tip! This banner only uses one type of Cricut^® shape, but the finished product is still stunning. Use stamp kissing to randomly stamp across the pieces using the stamp set of your choice. Score with the help of the Cricut^®-cut score lines on the shape and piece together to create little globes. Tie together with baker’s twine and voila!

Art Tip! This project uses many Cricut^® shapes and all the pieces coordinate so nicely for an adorable finished product. Use the Artiste assembly booklet to put the bag together and then add the embellishments. The feathers are created with punched circles that are stamped using the kissing technique; however, if you don’t have the circle punch, you can easily make these using the Cricut as well. The eyes were created using Shimmer designer brads, but you can use any large brad or button to create the same look. Finish with the “owl miss you sentiment” for a special touch.

Later Sk8r Cards

This month my Cross Lanes Club will be creating layouts or cards. You can see the layouts here. For the cards, we are creating 5 masculine and 5 feminine cards.

Perfect for Father's Day - add appropriate titles in the pocket. (Sentiment inside.)

Here is a feminine version with a necklace! I added ruffles to the color, sleeves, and bottom.

Creating With Canvas

Later Sk8r Club Layouts

This month's Cross Lanes Club will be held on Friday, April 26th at 1:00pm and 6:30pm. You can choose to do layouts or cards.
