Operation Smile Fundraiser at Convention

There are many things I LOVE about Close To My Heart. One of them is our support for Operation Smile. This organization was founded and is operated by the amazing Dr. & Mrs. Magee. This couple has devoted their lives to saving and redeeming MANY lives! I am honored to be a small part of helping them change the lives of children and adults - one SMILE at a time!

Each year at our Close To My Heart annual convention, we have an artwork auction to raise funds for OS. This year was no different. I had the privilege to donate a small piece of art which went for $100!!!
(I will have more details about this piece which features NEW products on my blog next month...)

The winning bid was generously given by my fellow consultant and NEW friend Monty Nelan from Fair Oaks, CA!  Thank you Monty for giving so generously to Operation Smile! It was such my great pleasure to meet you and I look forward to seeing you again next year!!

The donated artwork raised $12,665, the Sticky Boy stamp sets raised at least $6,000 and the Zumba classes raised $240 - which is enough to pay for the surgery for 78 SMILES!

  1. Awe, what an adorable contribution. I love that this is the charity we support. When my firstborn had to have surgery for a valve blockage as a newborn, he was bunked in a room with another baby that was having this type of surgery performed. It broke my heart to hear this was this baby's 3rd surgery up to that point to fix his cleft palette. I'm so grateful that there are organizations out there to help families in need. Have a great day, Miss Christine.
