Artbooking Monogram Card Box Set

Here is another workshop that I will be offering at my Stonewall Resort Crop this month!

I LOVE our Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and I LOVE our Monogram Stamps and I LOVE the Cricut Craft Room - so I decided to design a very simple project that showcased all three of my LOVES!

This is the top of the box which features shapes from the Artbooking Cartridge.

Here is the side of the box - as you can see very simple. You can totally bling it up and accessorize it if you wanted to!

Here is the box opened! I wanted to add something to the inside lid. There are several titles on the Artbooking Cartridge that would have worked well - including "notes". But when I write a note to someone I always want to choose my words carefully to encourage and inspire, so I thought this would be appropriate too!

There is a divider inside to separate the cards and envelopes and even an elevated slot for a pen!

The box contains 10 monogram cards and 10 coordinating monogram envelopes! (Pen is not included - unless I can find some quickly!)

There are 5 hollyhock accented cards and 5 lagoon accented cards. It's hard to tell in the photo but the card base is the same as the one featured on top of the box, but I have used the Cricut Craft Room to weld two images together to create a top fold card. The scallop circle is actually a photo frame that I have used the "hide/contour" feature to make it a solid image. At the workshop, I will show you step by step how I created this project in the Cricut Craft Room and you can customize your images there!

The stamp on the base of the card is included in the Artbooking Collection!

I love the simplicity of this project and how it can easily be personalized for anyone on your gift list!

This workshop will be offered at my Stonewall Crop for only $15!

Workshop Includes:
Card Box
Pre-cut Cricut Shapes to complete project
2 sparkles
10 - 3x3 envelopes
10 - 3x3 Cricut card bases
Box divider insert
Artbooking and Cricut Craft Room Tutorial

You will need:
3-D foam tape
Additional bling or accessories

I will provide the black ink and stamp sets, but if you have your own, I recommend you bring them so you don't have to wait to use mine.

Contact me ASAP if you want to join me in this workshop at Stonewall Resort. I have to order supplies  right away!

Artbooking Love Card

Here is a simple card I made using our Artbooking Cartridge! It goes together SO easily!

I stared out with a white card base. Then added a Ruby photo mat (with the decorative edge on the side). Then added a blush heart overlay over top of white card stock. Then I cut out a ruby circle with a heart cut out. I backed the heart area with white card stock and added a blush title "love you"!

Underneath the edge of the photo mat, I added a strip of our silver shimmer trim, then adorned the decorative edge with a few sparkles.

I added a small sparkle flourish to the front of the card. Even though it was hanging off of the edge of the circle, I could cut the flourish so it would lay flat on each surface level. (I love our flourishes!!)

For the inside of the card, I used the heart that was cut out of the front piece along with another title "truly"! (And a little bling of course!)

This card will be offered as a workshop at my Stonewall Resort Crop. You can pre-register to make as many of these cards as you want so you are ready for Valentine's Day or your next anniversary! And they are only $2 each! What would you pay for a boutique card like this at Hallmark? Easily $6 or more! So you can see, creating beautiful cards is not only a snap, it just makes economic sense!

Artbooking Love Layout

My Stonewall Resort Crop is coming up January 31st! I'm getting so excited!!

Here is one of the workshops you can sign up for. This layout was created by Erin Vriendt using the Artbooking Cartridge. She will be teaching the class at the crop. She said it took all of 5 minutes for her to create this beautiful layout using our fabulous new cartridge!

I love the sparkly title and the simple but elegant rosettes and sparkle flourishes!

The silver glitter paper layered on the hearts and cupid add just the perfect amount of sparkle!

Although this layout is simple, it is stunning and will look GREAT with you and your lovey-dovey's pictures on it! (Which could be a significant other, your pet, kids, grandkids, etc.)

If you are attending the crop and would like to pre-register for this workshop let me know. The cost is only $7! And Erin will share how she created this layout and how you can easily create your own masterpieces using our Artbooking Cartridge!

Babycakes Cards

This month in my club we are using the Babycakes paper to create Birthday themed cards and layouts! Here are the cards we will be making. There will be a total of 9 cards and 1 box!

We will make 4 of these cards! This card was created using the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge. SO EASY! And so much fun!

I used the bronze shimmer trim on some of the banner pieces and on the 2 bows on the gifts!

This next card features one of our exclusive hostess only stamps! It is so festive and fun! I also used a bow from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge! We will make 4 of these cards too!

But the inside is even MORE festive - a pop up stack of gifts!

I first got the idea from Lisa Stenz who got the idea from Lisa Young! My club members will learn how to create this card for any occasion!

This last project features our My Creations Ring Box and coordinating card! The ring box is made of plain kraft paper. I simply inked the edges with slate ink, then added the paper. The coordinating card base is slate cardstock which coordinates perfectly with the box!

I used our fabulous Slate satin polka-dot ribbon on this project. Did you know this ribbon will retire on January 31? Be sure to order several spools before they are gone forever!

I also use our fun slate striped twist ties. Simply wrap one around a pencil or your finger to create this festive spiral! I also used a sparkle flourish from the small assortment. I LOVE these flourishes!! And then I added a tiny metal flower from our base and bling floral accents. But the highlight is the stamp set that I used here - Holiday Tags! I LOVE this stamp set and coordinating cricut shapes!

I used the same shapes and elements on the box too!

Would you like to join us to make these this month? We are meeting on Friday, January 24 at 1pm and 6pm. Contact me if you would like to join us!

Cloud Nine Layouts

As you know, January is National Papercrafting Month and Close To My Heart is celebrating with our exclusive Cloud Nine Kit! It's a card kit with some exciting new product included - teal shimmer trim, silver and gold triangle studs, and gold polka-dot washi tape!

But what if you aren't a card-maker? I think you SHOULD be! But, if you are not convinced, I have an alternative for you! How about I trade the cards/envelopes in your kit for the additional cardstock that you will need to create these two layouts??

Here is the first one - I used the Artbooking Cricut cartridge for the additional images.

Here is the second one - I covered the middle piece of white cardstock with the gold washi tape. I also added a title from the Artbooking cartridge and additional elements from the Artiste cartridge! The balloons are attached with Sunset Baker's Twine.

This layout is a birthday celebration that says "look whoo's 2", but it could be any number from 2-72! Just let me know your preference and I will cut it out for you! You will also notice that the "2" is covered with the teal shimmer trim. Cool, huh?

The Cloud Nine Kit is YOURS for only $15 with a $35 purchase. And remember, I will include the extra cardstock and Cricut shapes you need to complete these layouts. Need some ideas for your $35 purchase?

3-D Foam Tape - $5.95
Baker's Twine Paradise Assortment - $4.95
Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors - $13.95
Mini Glue Dots - $7.50
