I just returned from our Stonewall Resort Crop and boy did we have a great time!
Some people were able to take advantage of a massage and facial…
…others took advantage of the beautiful pool…
…still others got to walk outside in the beautiful weather we had on Saturday by walking the trails outside. And then of course there's always the fabulous food right on site!
And even though we didn't have the spacious Ballroom this year, we had two adequate rooms - one to crop in and one for workshops, displays, and contests! And since there was no "extra" room to play our games, we did a POP The Question trivia game! And everyone WON!
This year all five workshops featured the Artbooking Cartridge - from layouts, to mini-albums, to cards, and boxes! Such endless inspiration on this cartridge! And everyone did a fabulous job!
Every event we have a fundraiser for Operation Smile - a very worthy organization that we support as a company and that I have fallen in love with. But this event, I wanted to support a local girl. In fact, she is on my team of consultants and has become a good friend! Missy Spangler has been participating in marathons to raise awareness and funds for research for a cure for Parkinson's disease. Her father battled this disease for years and just passed away this past November. His story is both tragic and inspirational.
But Missy is such a trooper! She is even more determined to find a cure for this disease and continues to run! So we wanted to help support this very worthy cause as well. Thanks to Nicole Finch who gathered all kinds of fabulous donated prizes, I'm pleased to announce that we were able to raise $295 for Team Spangler!
Thank you to everyone who came to party with us! Thank you to everyone who gave generously. And thank you to everyone who helped out - it was all a beautiful team effort! And I can't wait to go back next year - and hopefully we can get the ballroom next time!
