Studio J Wedding Album!

I FINALLY finished the wedding album I was making for my brother and "sister"'s wedding. It was really very easy to do, we just had to coordinate time together to do the journaling, which took much longer than we expected. I love how it turned out!

I used our For Always paper kit which is a beautifully neutral black, white, and grey. And then added accent colors to coordinate with the photos. Here are just a couple of my favorites!

The first one is the front and back cover pages:

There are additional layouts of the wedding guests and decor and getting ready, etc. And I even included a layout of the dance party that I was able to use flip flaps on to include even more photos and sequences of the line dancing, etc. I can't wait to receive these in the mail and get them in one of our new albums!!

Remember our FANTASTIC Studio J Special during the month of November....al two-page layouts are only $5! Yep, you heard that right! Only $5!! That's $2.50 per page - you can't print photos and buy paper and adhesive and embellishments for THAT price! It's a GREAT deal!

Click here to get started creating today! It's FREE to create, you only pay when you are ready to purchase your layouts! Just remember to purchase by November 30th to get the BEST DEAL EVER!

Avonlea Mini Albums with Picture My Life Cards!

I have a new club starting in Danville December 12th. Our first project is going to be an inexpensive, super simple mini album using our Avonlea Picture My Life Cards! They come in 4x6 and 3x4 sizes, both landscape and portrait styles, and there are 122 cards to choose from!

I was able to make 8 mini albums out of one pack with cards left over! Each album has at least 7 pages plus 1 half page. My club members will have the opportunity to add more cards or change it up however they want!

This first one I know I will use as an expanded card of encouragement. I want to fill it with encouraging words and scripture!

This next one focuses on family - or those that live with you - included our beloved pets!

Here is one that is generic - it can be about a couple, a family, a friendship!

And finally, here is one about being with those who make you smile (friends, family, pets, etc.)

Although the theme of the Avonlea cards is love and family, you can see it is still diverse enough for many different people and occasions. You can make an album for yourself or to give as a gift. Wouldn't this make a beautiful stocking stuffer with pictures and sentiments inside?

My club girls will get to select the album they want to do, and then make changes and additions as desired. Plus I will have a whole spread of ribbon and accessories for them to choose from to embellish the albums. I'll also have my embossing folders and stamps to embellish some of the cardstock inserts. My samples are super simple, but you could really go all out with embellishements and of course, the photos will really make them extra special!

Are you in the Danville area? Would you like to join us? Simply contact me before 12/12 and I can give you all the info.

Are you out of the area, but are interested in making your own mini albums? Check out the WIDE variety of Picture My Life cards and choose a theme that suits you. There is even a Christmas theme! Click here to see them all (scroll down to the cost effective A La Carte sets) and order a set to make your own mini albums in a matter of minutes! They will make great last minute Christmas gifts!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love this time of year! The smell of wood burning fires outside, damp leaves, and crisp air! And especially the wonderful aromas inside of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, apples and pumpkin!

But most of all it is a time where we tend to purposely consider all we have been blessed with and express our gratitude to God and to each other!

So let me take the opportunity to say THANK YOU for following my blog, commenting on posts, ordering kits, and sharing your life with me! I've met so many wonderful kindred spirits by blogging and look forward to hearing from each one of you!

I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

Christmas Joy Artbooking Layout!

This month I am offering an introduction to scrapbooking at my Danville Club. It's the perfect opportunity to invite a friend who just might be interested in this important, therapeutic and bonding hobby!

I thought it would be nice to try a super simple Artbooking layout. This one follows the pre-designed layout featured in the booklet! No imagination necessary!

All I did was change the colors!

Those familiar with Artbooking know that if I taught this as a class, they would have it completely assembled in 3 minutes flat! So I had to incorporate some other techniques and training.

In this class I will show the importance of using our Versamat and Ruler for perfect placement of each piece. I will also show the wonders of our new All Purpose Mat for heat embossing and applying adhesive with our new E-Z Dots Adhesive, especially on overlays and tiny pieces like the date.

I will also show how to use the overlay negative space to emboss the stars on the overlay with gold and silver embossing powder - which will include embossing basics! (Just a side note: my first choice would have been glitter paper on this layout, BUT embossing powder is so much more economical! And you might not have the glitter paper colors that you need at your fingertips when you need them, but the powders last forever!)

And how to use scraps to adorn the little bows on the photo mats!

And of course, a few of our new perfectly placed Gold Bling Gems to finish off the layout!

Would you like to come join the fun? We will be meeting in Danville, WV this coming Friday 11/7 at 6pm. Contact me if you are interested!
