Brushed Club Layouts!

FINALLY, I have our club layout kits ready! We are using our Brushed papers and embellishments! Here is the first layout!

This layout uses an overlay from Artbooking as a template to sponge a pattern on the base page. Very cool! I love everything about this layout - the sponged pattern, the butterflies, the metal flowers, the stamped leaves, the Topiary striped washi tape, the title, and the subtle addition of white shimmer trim and bitty sparkles!

For the second layout I used some of the vellum stickease along with the metal flowers, bitty sparkles, white shimmer trim, and Pixie twine!

The Cross Lanes Club is meeting on Friday, April 24th at 6:00pm and Saturday, April 25th at 10:00am.

The Danville Club is meeting on Friday, April 10th at 6:00pm.

If you are interested in joining us, let me know!

Confetti Wishes Party Theme - Banner!

What is a party without a banner?

This photo is also not very well done, but hopefully you get the idea!

I used the stickease from the Confetti Wishes paper pack for the banner. The letters come off individually.

Then I added them to the similar Artiste Cricut images from the invite, centerpiece, and place setting - with lots of 3-D foam tape of course!

The balloons and bow in the center also come from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge!

The Artiste Cricut Collection from Close To My Heart is PACKED with all kinds of different party themes including birthday, baby shower, Father's day, Mother's day, movie night, Christmas, etc. With this cartridge in your arsenal, you will be able to make ANY celebration a beautiful and festive one!

Thanks for following along this week with my birthday party theme! I hope it gave you a few ideas for your own party!

Confetti Wishes Party Theme - Place Setting!

What is a party without a place setting? I used one of the overlays from the Artbooking cartridge cut out of white cardstock and simply laid it on top of a 12x12 sheet of Thistle cardstock for the place mat!

(I apologize for the bad picture but you get the idea, I hope.)

I used one of our Design Creations Paper bags again, this time to tuck the napkin and utensils into! I simply added one of the Artiste wrappers around the front and embellished with similar pieces from the other items from the invite and centerpiece! All from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge!

Even the plastic cup gets decorated! I used one of the cupcake wrappers, ran it through the Cuttlebug to emboss it with our Dot Embossing Folder and added a purple glitter sparkle! These are the same wrappers I used for the cupcakes on my tiered stand - in Pear, Thistle, and Canary!

You can also see that I made little streamers to spread throughout the table! Simply take strips of 1/8" cardstock (any length) in colors that go with your theme and roll them around a piercing tool or other cylindrical object the place around the table. Also, not shown, is confetti that I made using our triangle and chevron punches to make the scene festive and complete!

I'll be back with one more post to complete the party theme!

Greenbo Lake Crop!

I'm interrupting my Confetti Wishes posts to check in and share what I'm doing this weekend. After working all week at a law firm, I had the pleasure of driving about 2 hours to KY to be a vendor at a crop! I arrived about 7:30pm and didn't finish setting up until around midnight! And I was completely exhausted, but.....

I AM SO HAPPY TO BE HERE DOING WHAT I TRULY LOVE!!

It has been so hard to step back from creating and playing with paper everyday and sit at a desk all day - along with the daily commute, there isn't much time to "play" when I get home. I was becoming discouraged and wasn't sure I had the energy to do this crop this weekend, but I have to say just walking into the room and hearing others squeal with delight over our CTMH products and artwork has energized me!! I'm SO excited to be here and can't wait to teach my classes today and help others create beautiful artwork using our first class products and tools!

I hope your day will be a exciting as mine!
Make it a creative one!

Confetti Wishes Party Theme - Goodie Bag!

I love coordinating all the pieces of an event! Carrying a color or a theme makes everything look so well planned and that you really took the time to make it special. It doesn't have to cost much, and it doesn't have to take much time, but it sure makes a difference!

Up next are the treat or favor bags! Every party needs one, right? I used our new Designer Creations paper bags! They come in packs of 12 (4 each of 3 designs) for $3.95! The bags measure 5 3/4" x 4 3/4".

Since I wanted my colorful round candy to show (similar to confetti) I cut a hole in the center of the bag! Then I added a sentiment to wrap around the bag.

I used our new stamp set called Sweet Treats.

I also used our purple glitter paper underneath the Pear cardstock punched with our new Chevron Punch!

The possibilities with these bags are endless! And the price point can't be beat!

I'll be back with more soon!

Confetti Wishes Party Theme - take out box!

Continuing on the party theme, here is the centerpiece that I made to go on top of the cupcake holder! I actually had cupcakes on the two tiers this past summer, but they were all given away and eaten! And of course I used our cupcake wrapper pattern on the Artiste cartridge that says "happy birthday" around the top. I even ran them through my Cuttlebug using our Dot Embossing Folder for even more texture and to continue the "confetti" theme!

Now for the centerpiece, I actually used one of our new take out boxes and modified it to look like the card-in-a-box invitation!

I didn't use the wire handle, and I opened the lid flaps and added paper to them to extend them down the front and sides. For the back I extended it upwards.

You can see that this box has tapered flaps and back to coordinate with the tapered box shape. But it is still enough of a similarity with the colors and shape. It's much larger - it stands about 8" tall

I love the Artiste cupcakes!!! And I especially love the pink glitter paper cherry!

I'll be back with more tomorrow...

Confetti Wishes Party Theme - invitation!

My clubs are creating projects with Confetti Wishes this month and I thought I would continue the theme online and give you some more ideas! Here are a few things I created this past Summer for our annual convention!

The colors in this paper pack are bright and FUN! Let's look at a couple of these items up close!

It all starts with an invitation, right? Here is my very first card in a box card!

I used the Artiste cartridge for the images on this card!

For the front of the card I used the Perfect Fit - Birthday stamp set with white embossing powder!

On the sides I put a cupcake with a pink glitter cherry on top!

The back of the card is the perfect place to write your invite!

The cool thing about these cards is that they fold flat for mailing!! This one I made standard size to fit in a regular envelope.

Aren't these fun cards??? I love these!
I'll be back with more of this party theme all week long!
