Many Wishes NSD Card Kit!

National Scrapbooking Day is right around the corner, and Close To My Heart has several workshop kits to choose from AND a two day event to help you celebrate with live classes walking you through the creation of each of our NSD kits!

Not only do we offer 12x12 layout kits, but also a mini album and card kits!! This one is called Many Wishes and features Distress Oxide inks and stencils. You will create 16 cards, and I promise you will LOVE this project! It is super easy, and so quick and beautiful!!

This first card uses all 4 of the colors - overlapping and blending the 3 flower colors to create a gorgeous background!

Don't forget to coordinate your envelopes to match your cards!

On this card, I used a much lighter touch and only two of the pink shades of ink. This gives a completely different, soft and subtle effect.

Here is another with the flowers clustered at the bottom of the card.

This one uses only one color on the flower, which I felt provided the perfect, peaceful, gentle image for a condolences card.

You can order this and all other kits for our National Scrapbooking Day event here:
Save a whopping 30% when you purchase the bundle of all 5 kits!!
Plus an additional savings of 15% if you are a VIP!

Join us for a Facebook Live virtual event on May 6 & 7, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. MDT and create the artwork from these workshops along with us! See you there!

In Full Bloom Card Kit

Our In Full Bloom Card kit creates 16 gorgeous cards and features timeless sentiments, fonts and images!
In addition, you will learn a few fun techniques with a few add on products that you may already own!

Use our Avocado ink and our Mini Ink Blending Tool to add a shadow/glow behind the butterfly!
Use our Tri-Blend markers to shade or color in the different images, as well as using 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamping on the butterfly images on this card!
Use the Tri-Blend markers to highlight the sentiments!
At the moment, this kit is sold out, but more kits are expected to arrive this month! I knew this would be a big seller! You will find the kit featured on pages 22-23 in our March-April Catalog. Additional supplies are also listed below.

Cake Day Cardmaking Workshop

Who doesn't need an ample supply of birthday cards throughout the year? Our Cake Day cardmaking workshop is all you need to be ready to celebrate friends and family throughout the year with 16 interactive birthday cards!!
This kit includes an exclusive stamp set and coordinating thin cuts to create bright, fun, and interactive elements on your cards. You can use this stamp set and thin cuts on future projects with any color theme or paper pack you choose! And the interactive cake doesn't have to be birthday related, it can be for any occasion there is cake! Wait, you mean like every day? YES, I could eat cake every day! LOL!

The workshop, as designed by Close To My Heart features the use of our water color pencils to color in elements on t
he cards. I cut all of my papers and pieces the same, but used markers, liquid pearls, shimmer brushes and texture paste to play around with a few alternative cake decorating methods! I have added notes to each image to show what I did different. Feel free to use my ideas or come up with even better alternatives!

Here are the extra supplies I used on my card: White Opal and Bisque liquid pearls and Pimary Sprinkles (for cake frosting), Sundance Shimmer brush (on candle flames).

I used the Sundance, Lemonade, and Clear Shimmer Brushes on the pennants and images. (I would have used the Wild Berry shimmer brush, but I didn't have one on hand.) You can also add individual sprinkles to the card with a tiny dab of Liquid Glass.

I tried a different method of "frosting" my cake with texture paste colored with Distress Oxide Ink and accented with Bisque and Rose Gold Liquid Pearls and Primary Sprinkles. I would recommend the gloss texture paste colored with Mocha or Espresso re-inker for a more glossy effect. Or just the Liquid Pearls, they make great frosting!

On the fourth card, I used our Tri-Blend markers to "frost" the cake and accented with the Sundance Shimmer Brush.

Order your Cake Day Cardmaking Workshop HERE! You can also join Close To My Heart for a live Facebook workshop on their page, April 5th at 4:00pm eastern time, to cut and assemble the cards as they designed - they always offer great tips and tricks in each demonstration! Happy Cake Day!!
